Interviews
I have a snazzy Olympus DS-40 digital recorder. Sometimes I use it to interview people.
This project has no specific goals. I’m not looking to become the next Oprah or Ira Glass. I’m just… talking to people… and, in the process… learning about myself as much as I’m learning about them.
The thing about people… so I’ve come to understand… is that everyone’s GOT something. You know? Sure, we all have those bits and pieces of ourselves that we’re less proud of, and that perhaps irritate others. But… beyond all that stuff… there is some really fantastic stuff. We’ve ALL got something. I used to get hung up on the irritants. Now I greatly enjoy the process of identifying or uncovering all that goodness.
People are awesome. As I continue on with this interview hobby, I tweak. I make a list of questions, or I don’t. I try new questions. I try to zero in on what it is that that particular person gets the most lit up about. It’s a process and a journey.
Enjoy! (And, if you happen to want to do an interview with me, just let me know!)

You have a great idea here and I am interested in doing the same thing. I love NPR too! hehe
Thanks for your comment/ encouragement! I say you do it! All you need, really, is a wave editing program and digital recorder. At least… that’s what I’m using. So far… so good!
Very nice. When you get home you can interview me. Ha Keep up the good work Honey. Dad
This is fantastic Lindsay. Good work.
Thanks, Sharon.
In hindsight… I wish I’d focused more on what Alyson said regarding people thinking differently… but then… what more is there to say on THAT topic? It’s true as can be – some people just think differently.
There’s that. And also… there’s the “I love you” bit towards the end. What that was all about was taking the phrase “I love you” and realizing it’s less about the ‘you’ than it is about the ‘I.’
Hi, Lindsay How’s it going ^^
I saw it well
remember me? ^^
I’ve followed up with your web-address on your e-mail

Well articulated questioning. It’s nice to hear someones opinions on teaching outside of drunken rants in a bar! I wholeheartedly agree concerning the ‘doctor>teacher intelligence issue.
Amazing. Listening to this now, after leaving Korea and being in the US for 6 months THEN coming back… I was a tad bit… um… negative when I left here. I’m cringing a little bit… hahahaha…
Publish Julia’s! I want to hear what that closeted, future running for sainthood, not buying the facade for a second lady had to say
julia’s story=yet another tale of the ‘system’ squandering a willing and able teacher.
best of luck to you, julia! may you find greater freedom and happiness in your next gig!
Ryan has a really interesting story. Interpreter in Afaghanistan? Far out. You MUST interview Andy Mitton. That guys has the best tales in town. Maybe NSFW.
frankfurt, not berlin.
