I started making videos in college, when I volunteered for the campus TV station’s news program. They had a digital editing set-up that they called “the cube,” and the moment I laid eyes on that thing, I was in love. I would borrow one of the station’s big, awkward cameras, shoot some stuff with a vague idea of what I wanted to do, then spend all night editing with “the cube.”

Sadly, all of my college-era work was lost, erased in a tragic Skin-A-Max recording incident. But… I carry on. Now with iMovie and a new Canon FS31 camcorder.

I’m getting more comfortable… and getting a better idea of what it is I want to do.

I see Final Cut and a new(er) camera in my not-so-distant future…
